The $100 charge for the turbo tax is fine but why is the total charge for what I owe $3402 and a 85 service charge on the account. I plan to mail my return in on July 14

How are you going to pay the tax due?  There are several ways.  You could include a check with your return.  If you want to pay by credit card there is a 3rd party fee.  See

There is no extra charges or fees to pay the Turbo Tax fee by credit card.
