The desktop version is stuck at "Review Your Federal Filing Choices" with an alert to double check my routing number in red.
I'm using the desktop version so it's not about cookies. I've restarted and tried and tried again. My routing and account numbers are correct.
Please provide guidance that's better than "restart the program / delete cookies / etc"

Just a guess, but if you are using Bank of America, be aware that in larger states, BOA may have 2 routing numbers--one that is used for paper checks and one that is used for ACH electronic deposits. So for some people using BOA, the correct routing number to use may not be on the paper check. If that's your situation, you should be able to get the correct electronic ACH routing number in your online Bank account, or by looking up your state on the BOA website, or by phoning BOA. Of course, if this is not BOA, then none of this paragraph will apply to you.
There may be a couple of other banks that have a similar situation in some states. So if your bank uses different ones for different regions of your state or for paper checks vs. electronic deposits, either look it up in your online bank account or phone your bank to verify which routing number to use.
I am using the correct electronic routing number. I've tried this over and over -- not just in the step by step process but via the forms functionality too. There is clearly a bug and other people have noted it. Intuit needs to fix it.
I'm having the same problem with Bank of America! Did you ever find a way to get around this and file anyway?

Sign into your BOA online account, and in the "Information and Services" section of your specific account you should be able to view the routing number to use for electronic ACH transactions. At BOA in some large states it can be different from the routing number shown on your paper checks. When you look in your account, be sure it's the ACH routing. Do NOT use the wire routing number. If that doesn't help, phone BOA and ask to speak to someone familiar with ACH electronic deposits.
I have a same issue. I'm definitely entering correct electronic ACH routing number pulled from BofA app. So, no double checking, calling bank, or whatever some people are suggesting will help. This is a bug in Turbotax and needs to be fixed fast since deadline is approaching.
I'm having this problem too. Has anybody figured out how to fix this? I'm on hold with tech support now but it's a very long hold time 😕
Here are some things you could try to resolve this:

First see the comment that @ LeticiaF1 left you above. She and I were typing at the same time. 😐
She left some steps to try in Forms Mode that might help if you are using the desktop version.
If you use Bank of America, be aware that in a couple of states some BOA clients may have 2 different routing numbers--one for ACH electronic deposits and one for paper checks. The one you use for ACH may or may not be same as what is shown on your paper check. Your BOA online banking account should have a section "Information & Services" that will show you your electronic routing number to use for ACH deposits. Do NOT use the wire routing number.
If you use BOA and continue to have trouble with the BOA routing number, call BOA and ask to speak someone familiar with ACH direct deposits and whether your account uses a different one than the one used for paper checks.
Thanks. I tried deleting and adding the routing number in form view but that didn't fix the issue. I'm sure I'm using right routing number because that's the number in the Bank of America app and it says to use that number for checks AND direct deposits. The only other routing number listed is for wires. Turbotax phone support has not been any help either.
Just solved it today and managed to e-file my taxes.
In my case, electronic & paper routing number I pulled form BofA mobile app was not working. I believe that was valid number, but for some reason it was is not accepted in Turbotax.
What you can do is to login to BofA in your computer and check electronic only routing number. This one is not matching electronic & paper in mobile app.
Also you can drop by your local branch to be 100% sure and check with them since calling bank customer support is dead end as always.
Good luck!
Interesting that when I open my BOA app and go under my account I see the paper and electronic routing number, which is the one Turbo Tax says is wrong. Then when I search the BOA app and ask what my routing number is, I get the response there are 2 routing numbers. One for ordering checks, which was the one that was listed as paper and electronic under my account screen. Then a 2nd different routing number is also labeled as paper and electronic. I used this one in TurboTax and it worked with no issues.
I can confirm this worked for me too. On the boa app I asked “Erica” what is my routing number and it gave 2 of them. One of them not listed originally under my account. Thank you and pass it on
