Can’t amend or e-file my 2024 New York State return

Hi TurboTax team,

I successfully filed my 2024 federal and state returns (New York and New Jersey) earlier this year. I’m now trying to amend both.

Here’s what I see in TurboTax:

• Amended Federal return – Ready to e-file

• Amended New Jersey return – Ready to print and mail

• New York return – Filed (no option to amend)

When I try to amend New York, the program updates the numbers directly on my original IT-203 instead of creating a Form IT-203-X (the proper amended form). There’s also no option to e-file an NY amendment.

Could you please confirm:

1. Is TurboTax currently supporting e-filing of 2024 New York amended returns (IT-203-X or IT-201-X)?

2. If not, when will this feature be enabled?

3. If it’s not yet supported, can I still use TurboTax to generate the correct IT-203-X form for mailing?
