My 2018 return mysteriously disappeared after I printed it. No doubt I did something wrong to cause this to happen. I found the file in my Carbonite backup and was successful in getting the printed version saved on my computer as a document. However, I can not get it back into TurboTax to make minor adjustments. Is it possible to restore a saved print file to TT for further processing?

Based on your description, the printed version appears to be a PDF or other document format, which one would not be able to edit in TurboTax. Here's how to find a tax data file (also called a .tax file) you created in the TurboTax CD/Download software for Windows, or a tax data file you downloaded and saved to your Windows computer from TurboTax Online.
Please note that the data file must be opened in the software to be readable and editable – it's not the same thing as a PDF copy of your return you can print out. More info
Also, e-filing does not keep copies of your return on our servers. We're unable to retrieve tax files prepared in the TurboTax CD/download software because the data is stored locally, on your computer.
Instructions:If you can't find the data file, it may have been saved under a different Windows account. Try repeating the instructions in that account(s).
