Can I make a payment now for Federal taxes that might be owed in 2021?

I'm good to go now.  I did a fast calculation based on our income from Quicken and it looks like I might even get a refund.  After I file I will have a much better idea of our short term tax liability if any.  We both still have a few years to go until our RMD's kick in.  At that time I will have withholding taxes taken out of our RMD's as well as our SS.

And when you file 2021 even if Turbo Tax gives you 2022 estimate forms to send in they are OPTIONAL to pay.  They are just a suggestion.  They don't get sent with your return and the IRS won't be expecting them.   Same for last year.   Did Turbo Tax say you needed to pay estimates for 2021?

No estimated taxes for 2021 by TT.  I only payed about $600.00 on my last 1040.
