Can I change the account my return is to be deposited into? I had opened a checking account with Discover card and they closed it for inactivity. How do I fix this

Are you waiting for a 2024 refund? It is too late to change your 2024 return or prior. You can change it when you file the 2025 return next year. If your refund deposit is rejected it will go back to the IRS or state and they will mail you a check to the address on your return.
