Possibly, for 2021, the standard deduction for a dependent child is the total earned income plus $350, up to a maximum of $12,550. So, a child can earn up to $12,550 without paying income tax. For 2022, the standard deduction for a dependent child is total earned income plus $400, up to $12,950.it would depend on the income they earned.

If your minor dependant earned less than $12,550 they are not required to file . However, they may want to file to get back any tax withheld.

For Federal, however, any minor with self-employment income must pay self-employment tax (Social Security and Medicare).  State tax rules vary by state.
