Amending taxes more than once
Hello! I am curious about amending taxes again for 2020 after the taxes are already amended once. Can I do this via e-file? Would I get a new acceptance date and would I need to resign. I assume yes for documentation purposes, but would like to hear from anyone that has done this already.

Amending taxes more than once
If you e-Filed 1040, you get one e-File of 1040-X.
After that, a second or third amendment has to be filed on paper via the US Post Office.

Amending taxes more than once
One should NEVER amend a return until the original return has finished processing in full. Then you can amend the return but you CANNOT amend a second time until the first amendment has been fully processed. Filing any corrected return before the prior return has fully processed is a disaster waiting to happen.
Amended returns in a normal tax year take 4 to 6 months to process so don't be in a hurry to file another as we are not in a normal tax year.
