Hi! I was hoping an expert could provide me a clear answer, I never received my 2nd stimulus payment $600 (get my payment says a check was to be mailed) but I received the 1st and 3rd Direct Deposited into my account.
I just read I can try to recover it using the Recovery Rebate Credit on the 2020 tax return. I filed my taxes before the act in Congress passed, and also received 2 update emails from Turbo Tax that with the Unemployment credit up to 10,200 tax free, I should be getting more of a return back. The second email said I WOULD have to amend my return, just not now. I'm seeing the amount of my return has increased on TurboTax's dashboard. My question for an expert is:
Should I file an amendment now to try to recover the $600 missing stimulus? or Should I wait and see if the funds that are "listed" on the top left dashboard are direct deposited and then file an amendment for the Recovery Rebate Credit?
Thank you in advance for your help!

You should wait until you receive a refund check before you amend your return. Otherwise, it may slow things down even more. Once you get your refund check, if money is still due you, you can then amend your tax return.
If IRS says the sent your second stimulus,
you will have to start a "track lost check " request,
Filing an amendment won't help you.
