So my mom didn’t claim me because we found out that the previous stimulus checks will come to me if she didn’t claim. She told me this after I already filled out my taxes saying she would claim me. Would an amended return fix this situation?

If you can be claimed as a dependent by another person, then you are not eligible for the stimulus payments. Your mother should have claimed you and it is her return that should be amended.
Being able to be claimed as a dependent by another person make you ineligible for the stimulus, even if that person does not claim you.
I put that I was being claimed on mine, she unclaimed me on hers. If I amend mine saying I’m unclaimed would that fix it?
It depends on your circumstances.
To not be claimed as a dependent, you must provide more than 50% of your own support. The first and second stimulus payments included an extra payment for children under 17 years old.
The amendment can be e-filed once Form 1040-X becomes available. The only states that offer e-file for amended returns are currently Georgia, Michigan, New York, and Vermont. Otherwise, the corresponding state amended return must be paper filed.
