Amending a State Return

I have been successful in Amending my federal return and one of my state returns. However, my last state return says it can be e-filed. I tried this option but it does not give any confirmation that it went through and only says the state has accepted my original return. I then changed it to be filed by mail and I was not given an option to print this alongside my other two returns. I am not sure how to fix this.

You cannot e-file an amended return.  You must mail them in.  No information on your amended returns went through if you tried to e-file.  You need to print them out & mail them in.

I'm not sure why it even gave me an option then. I did try to select the print and file option and that return is not appearing for me to print still. Do you know how to alleviate that problem?

I have the same problem. My state returns (AZ and CA) do not even show as amended. They have the amended information carried into them from the amended federal return but they are NOT amended returns.  They are just the standard forms with new information.

The TurboTax federal/state amend process is not available until March 26.

How to amend (change or correct) a return you already filed

If you don't want to wait, you can sign into your account and get back in your state by selecting "Add a State."

Don't add a state. Include click Continue on your existing state and keep going until you see the option to amend/change a return. The wording is different in each state and you didn't say what state you are trying to amend. The amend is always near the end.

It is easier to wait until the amend process becomes available. There will be a button to click to amend state.
