Amended return

I had filed my return, and it was accepted, then I got a 1099r I had forgotten about. I filled an amended return which reduced my refund. The amended return was accepted. A week after that my original refund was deposited. I guess I am wondering what is next. Once the irs processes the amended return, how will they request the refund differance back?

The amended return should have shown a balance due to "repay" the excess refund.
