I amended my 2024 tax return to change the filing status from married filing separately to married filing jointly through TurboTax. When I submitted the amended federal return, it was almost immediately rejected for these reasons:
What happened:
IND-027-02 - If 'PINTypeCd' in the Return Header has the value "Self-Select On-Line" and 'SpouseBirthDt' has a value, then 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' or 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpouseIdentityProtectionPIN' must have a value.
The state return for Missouri was accepted. When logging back in to the platform, I am seeing nowhere that I can go and correct the error. Will the amended return instead need to be mailed instead of e-filed? Please help

To correct this and e-file your return:
If you need to find your last year's AGI, see the TurboTax help article below:
How do I find last year's AGI?
I am not seeing the "File" section when opening up TurboTax
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2025 online tax return.
Yeah I'm not seeing that either. That screenshot I posted earlier is the only thing I see besides a prompt to start my 2025 return on the Tax Home section.
I will say, I have already filed my 2025 return with a different account ID. Could that be causing a problem?

Yes, that would be the problem. You have to sign onto your 2025 account using the exact same User ID and Password used to create the account.
Your screenshot was for a 2024 amended tax return. The 2024 amended tax return can only be printed, signed, dated and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.
Yes, I'm asking about the 2024 amended return. So it has to be printed and sent rather than e filed?
@clem3446 Yes, the 2024 amended tax return has to be printed, signed, dated and mailed.
@DoninGA Gotcha, was looking at this IRS page and it was saying that since I e-filed originally, i could also e-file the amendment, but that is not true? https://www.irs.gov/filing/file-an-amended-return. I'm assuming I'll need to send any owed tax to them as well?
In the email I received from TurboTax, they say I can e-file, and f not, they will help with the paper filing. I'm very confused on what is true here:
@clem3446 To pay any taxes owed you can use Form 1040-V with a check and mail to the IRS. Or the best option is to use the IRS payment website to pay any taxes owed by direct debit from a bank account - https://www.irs.gov/payments
