I Hello,
I've been using TurboTax, oh, for >25 years. This year 2020 seem to be, for what i can remember seem to be more finicky than any previous, eg. ESPP adjusted cost basis as an example.
Anyway, last week Mar 13, completed both federal and states, filed e-return for federal. Got notification saying federal has been accepted and i've been just waiting for refunds to be issued.
On Mar 13, the refunds shown by TurboTax 2020 were,
$5,786 (federal)/$572 (state)
With recent TurboTax 2020 updates in past few days, the refunds for the SAME returns are now saying,
$6,675 (federal)/$718 (state)
What ?!
I usually wait until close to Apr 15'th to file my returns, this year 2020 filing decided to go little sooner to see if i can get in for the 2020 covid stimulus check #3.
Anyway, what does this mean? Do i need to file amends?
This is very confusing, as in my ~25 years using TurboTax, never have i come across this scenario.
Anyone run into this sort of situation?
Thanks.

Root caused.
TurboTax 2020, you suck!
I filed, and then TurboTax 2020 in recent updates FIXED their ESPP cost basis bug !
I was able to get back to the original refund amounts by going back to the returns and removing the negative amounts in,
"An adjustment is required for a reason not already covered" <<-------- this field was my workaround while this stupid TurboTax 2020 bug was present!
Comparing the form 8949 between filed and now/present, the numbers are still the same. And has to, since this stupid TurboTax 2020 bug got fixed.
Urgh, TurboTax 2020 you suck!
