Accessing worksheets from past years - have .tax files

I recently sold an investment property and my accountant needs to refer to the Schedule E worksheets for filings from 2016, 2018 and 2020.  I printed the .pdf files at the time of filing, and pulled 2018 on from TurboTax online, but it does not include the worksheets.  I have used TurboTax online exclusively since 2012.

I have the .tax files for each of these years, but can't open them, which is crazy for having paid for the software.  For 2021 I was able to download the software from the Intuit website and successfully open that .tax2021 file, but it isn't available for earlier years.  Help!

I assume that you've used TurboTax Online in the prior years, because the .tax file can only be opened with the downloaded version, TurboTax Desktop.

Follow the instructions in this thread to access you prior year worksheets. You may need to use the amend option that is discussed.
