2021 refund never came

What steps have you taken since 2022 when it was filed to see what happened to your refund? There are no other posts in the user forum under your username kireneyugn so it does not appear that you have sought help here until now in 2026.

Or did you file by mail after e-filing closed for 2021 returns? Do you know if the IRS accepted your return---or that the IRS received it? Does the IRS show a transcript of a 2021 return for you?

If the IRS shows that they received the return and issued your refund, you can request a trace on the refund.
