I used Turbo Tax for my (joint) 2020 returns, but I filed late 10/20/21 and had to FedEx the returns to the IRS and mail the state return. We have received our state refund. But we have not heard back/have not received our 2020 Refund. I just finished our 2021 return with TurboTax and Efiled through Turbo Tax. However, it was immediately rejected with the notation that my entry for the 2020 AGI (which I obtained from my 2020 Turbotax Federal tax return) did not match the IRS's records. I checked and the number I used is correct. I am wondering/ thinking that the problem is that the IRS has not processed my 2020 return yet, so it does not have a 20202 AGI number for me. HELP, what can I do?

If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2020 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2020 AGI might not be in the IRS system. Try using zero instead.
If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year. The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.

Entering 0.00 into both spouse and my AGI did the trick. HA, thanks very much for the advice. I also eventually reached the IRS to ask about my 2020 return and was informed that they have over $6M mailed in returns from 2020 to still do. Wonder if they will complete them before taking on mailed in 2021 returns.
I was advised by the IRS if you file after the 50th week, you must enter 0 for the AGI.
