We were contacted last fall by IRS, saying 2019 entries did not jive re: interest received on return for my mother. After a couple efforts to clear up via mail, I was able to talk to IRS person. Upon further searching, IRS and I noticed Tax forms filed for us by Turbo Tax show multiple items on Schedule B, with a total 3502.07 on line 4, that was to be carried to line 2B on the 1040. instead, only 313 (for some of the items) was transferred!?? Based on what was filed, 96 yr old mother received a refund. After IRS contacted us, she had to pay $500+. Why did the amount NOT get carried forward as it should have been? If this is a TTax gliche, does TT cover this error and related expenses?

TurboTax does have a 100% Accuracy Guarantee. So if there was a software error, you would be reimbursed for penalties and interest. However, I did just read the guarantee and it says that the claim must be filed within 60 days of receiving the notice from the IRS. I'd probably still take a shot at it, though.
Here are links to info about the Guarantee, as well as another about submitting a claim.
