2017 Federal tax refund

During the summer of 2020, I amended my Federal tax return for 2017 and I should receive a refund of $535.00. I have not received the refund yet. What should I do?

Hopefully, you mailed in your amended return (1040X).  The IRS is way behind on mailed in returns because of the shutdown during Covid.  It is taking the IRS allot longer now to process mailed in returns.

 

In the meantime you can keep checking, the IRS website, Where's My Amended Return:

https://www.irs.gov/filing/wheres-my-amended-return
