WHEN TURBOTAX WILL HAVE 2021 AMENDMENT FORM READY?

Missed reporting a 1099-r that reduced my refund by $35. Turbo system states not developed yet. Might anyone know when Turbo will be able to finish the system to process amendments for 2021?

The 1040X will be ready sometime late February to mid March. You should not try to amend until your original return has been fully processed.

I have already received a refund, why can't I just amend my taxes. What is causing the hold up

Turbo Tax won't have the Amended form 1040X ready until March 17. See

Since your refund amount changed, you'll need to file an amended return. Please see the TurboTax FAQ for the status of Form 1040-X.

This form is available for use now and you can e-file the current 2021 amended return.

Be sure to read all the instructions carefully so that TurboTax knows the original numbers and the changed numbers for your amendment.

on TurboTax I tried to file my amended return which I owe money! when I get to the part about payments direct withdrawal from checking, it won't go any farther. It keeps Jumping back to the payment page! I filed my 2021 taxes early February,2022 it has been processed and I have got my refund.

has anyone else have this problem?

Taxes owed on an amended tax return cannot be paid by direct debit from a bank account. They have to be paid by check included with the mailed tax return.

Or you can pay using the IRS payment website for Direct Pay - https://www.irs.gov/payments
