Alot of tax scams has been done thru TurboTax  the IRS is taken  longer for people who filed thru turbo tax and delaying  tax returns..just don't use TurboTax

This is what mines been saying for over 45 days now. To top off the fact that you can't talk to anyone at IRS I received an email from turbo tax stating that since my return has either been delayed or kept come June 6th they will be taking their fees from my checking account. That's crazy I called and spoke with a representative that offered to extend me 21 days from that day which ince I figured it out was giving me a deadline before email of June 6th. My refund was not kept still being processed and using normal business practices through this covid 19 era us absolutely a reflection of this company way if thinking. I'm still waiting on unemployment can't get my federal tax return and now you want to overdraft my empty bank account and even admitted it's VERY possible if I can you that once my return comes it's a good possibility your take it again as that's been happening so I'll have to fight you to get it returned. These are not normal times and you should have more compassion and understanding those rules if yesteryear don't fit today. First and LAST time I'll be using turbo tax.

Our situation is exactly the same. No tax refund....no stimulus and my husband has no unemployment checks. Filed unemployment 3-23! And filed taxes through Intuit end of February. Email saying they will take their cost on May 28. That will not happen!! I'll contact them like you did! It's all crazy!!

I to had to get a 1095A and  it took me 45days to receive it, further more I finally got it and took it to H&R and they sat on it for a week then call me told me to come get it so I could mail it off because they couldn't get through to IRS fax anyways. I've been back and forth to H&R and yesterday I was told that the I R S probably hasn't been able to get any paperwork done yet and that Their mail room is over loaded,to try and be patient, MY GOD, patience I've been trying since February 13th, that's when I filed and still no word no stimulus payment or federal refund

I Filed on March 3rd and I did my Mothers a few days before mine. She got her refund and I haven’t. I don’t owe TT or anyone. I got my stimulus. I don’t understand why my refund hasn’t got sent yet. I check the IRS website it says the same thing everyday. A big nothing useless page that doesn’t explain the situation. I also did a couple of my family members tax refund besides my mothers and they also go theirs. It looks to me anyone before February 27th got theirs and everyone after is screwed. Waiting till who knows when. I thought I was the only one.

So I have the same message when I go to the “where’s my refund” section of the irs website. I filled 1/20/20, and have had that message since around 2/14. I called the contact number ([phone number removed]) in mid February when that message first popped up and when I finally spoke with a real live person she told me that message meant I was “randomly selected” to have my return looked over to make sure the credits I claimed and whatnot were all valid. I was also told that it would take 30-60 days for that process to be completed. I’ve spoke with several close personal friends and a couple of them are in the same boat, one of them for the second year in a row. Under normal circumstances the 30-60 day window would actually apply, and even be on the short side of that timeframe. Unfortunately, with everything going on, those timeframes are no longer valid as the irs doesn’t even have live agents available for tax/stimulus questions. All we can do at this point is wait for things to open back up, and hope that our returns are pushed past the random scrutiny they’ve been subjected to.

What if my tax return is not approved?

My federal return was accepted on 4/29. On the 18th day, I checked WMR and it said still processing with no bar, then I started to worry. I kept checking WMR every day, and on the 21st day my status was changed to "We have received your tax return and it is being processed". Today (the 23rd day) my 2020 account transcript became available and it has "846  Refund issued", the date listed is 5/28/2020. The only codes listed are 150, 806, and 846. I will update after I actually receive my refund.

Yes, please keep checking the Where's My Refund.  You should see a change soon.  @ATD1

It is taking the IRS longer to process returns since they are closed.  They are still processing e-filed returns but the 21 days (business days) is not the standard now due to Covid-19.

This might sound like a stupid question/statement but,  why were the IRS employees being sent home? Aren't they essential workers? Bank employees were still working. There are a few million people depending on the progress of their work and their ability to review our taxes and refunds, and help us with our money.  If they were sending them home, why couldn't the IRS figure  out a way to review refunds at home manually? And why aren't they back at work still?

Received letter on 2/21/2020 stating needed form 8962 and copy of form 1095-A. I complied and sent in 3/1/2020.
Called and don’t get a human. No notification.
I understand with all that is going on. I could use my refund NOW!
