I tried calling the IRS first thing in the morning nothing just automated services all i get. I filled my income tax January 21st and got accepted January 24th and now it's February 24th yes i did put my economic payment as well so that's probably why they're a delay. Not 100% sure

How do you check your account on the irs page

Create an account on the IRS website (Just look for the "account" link on the home page. It requires identity verification. Do it on your phone. I had to take pic of my passport and then a live image scan of myself. I don't recall what else but it took several minutes. I hope this helps.

I received the same message and I think mine have to do with the third stimulus check most of us received last year! When I filed my taxes it asked if I received a third stimulus check and I replied NO, because I totally forgot. And by me saying no I think 🤔 🤔 it cause an error in the amount of my refund by boosting it to a higher amount. So I am pretty sure that’s why mine is being delayed. Just thought I would share.

i think I did the same thing. I finally got some action on my transcript when I checked yesterday, but it says “action pending” and a notice was sent out. I noticed that they made the adjustment to the refund, so I wonder what else they would be holding the new refund amount for and how long it will take. Ugh

Same boat. This is more of a therapeutic rant than anything; however, I filed 2/5, accepted 2/5 and had 1 bar on WMR all the way until 2/27/22. I check on 2/27 and its "sorry your refund is delayed beyond normal time". Transcripts show "N/A" and "No Return Filed".

I accepted NO STIMULUS CHECK (not a single one...I worked through the pandemic and didnt qualify). Taxes are the same almost every year.

I find it unbelievable that 1. People filed 2 weeks AFTER me and are getting their deposits, no issue, this week 2. The IRS has NO ISSUE taking taxes, every check, right on time...but when its time to owe me? I'm told "sorry, just wait". and 3. I pay TT $300+ for all sorts of "protection" and "CPA assistance", yet when I have actual questions...again its "I dont know? Just wait?".

I was accepted 2/1. My status changed to this delayed message last Saturday. When I checked my irs account it was showing my refund had not even been processed & nothing was on my transcript, even though I was accepted on Feb 1. I checked this morning WMR still has the delayed message but logging into my account the "not processed" message is gone & my transcript gives a refund issue date of next week. Fingers crossed it happens. We'll see.

I got my stimulus information from the it’s.gov website. My issue was due to confirmation of my identity. Anyone else have this issue? And if so how long did it take to rectify after following the instructions to verify identity

I have talked to the IRS about me having the delay message since 1/25 and they said there is no problem they are back logged and that message means it could be either due to being passed 21 days or it's an adjustment of the return she told me probably because of my son that was born in 2021 but was not sure still !!!! But she said there will be a big update after March 21 so keep an eye out on WMR most big update is on Saturday mornings so basically we just have to wait untill they can do there job and process remember they are low staff and doing there best to get ever ones return
