Why is my return still pending? I filed a few days ago and there isn’t any update. A friend filed today and their efile was accepted right away? I knew the IRS would open on the 12th but how does it make sense that someone who filed after me gets accepted right away?

This concerns me because I filed on 2/3 still pending.. I thought it was because I claimed the second stimulus was not received so I thought that was holding it up.. But that can't be it because my brother just filed his e-filed an half hour ago and he claimed the second stimulus was not received his return was accepted within 15 minutes by the IRS. So something is wrong... 4 other family member's have filed since Feb 3rd and ALL have been accepted.. I think TURBO TAX needs to look into this.. I called and was told I just need to wait and told be glad I didn't get a rejection.. I would rather get a rejection then I will know what wrong.

I filed on 2/10/21. Still in pending status as of today. I called TurboTax and I was given round about but told to keep on watching. After reading all replies makes me feel little better that I am not the only person has same problem. In the past I used to get acceptance of Federal & State Tax Returns within 4-6 Hours. I have been using TurboTax more than 15 years. Never had this experience.

Has anyone had a status change? I called the IRS again this morning and the person I spoke to was extremely rude and told me he couldn't even look at my account which isn't true as the agent I spoke to yesterday asked me a bunch of questions and was able to look at my account. The agent this morning told me to call back in 21 DAYS!!! 21 DAYS??? You must be joking....I understand waiting 3 weeks to be able to check on a refund as it needs to be processed but to wait 3 weeks to get your return ACCEPTED is ridiculous. He stated there were no known issues and I asked him to raise the issue to his supervisor. He stated again that there were no issues and his management would let him know if there were. Uhm unless I am missing something here until you report to management about the calls you are getting they won't know there is an issue. I am attempting to call the IRS again and then will call TurboTax again. He did say the servers were processing 24/7 so I seriously find it difficult to believe that after 5 days of 24/7 processing there is still a backlog of returns and if there is the IRS and/or TurboTax needs to come out and state this and why.

Both my state and federal had been pending since jan. 10, i finally received 2 text messages, both said that they had been rejected to see emails and follow the directions to fix and resubmit them. I checked my emails, the issue was with my federal, it said that i had miscalculated and software issue, i needed to log back into my account so thw software could update and recalculate my refund and then resubmit both. So i did. About 10 minutes later, both came back saying they have both been excepted. Now the wait to receive into my direct deposit account.

Same here. I e-file my Federal on 01-29-2021 and IRS still not receive my return yet. My son did his e-File today and get back from IRS 3 hours later. Is that supposed to be FIFO? Called TurboTax support and no help either.

Sadly, I filed two weeks ago and thought all would go well on Feb 12, I'm still pending. Why can't turbo tax make a statement as to why some are accepted or rejected and some are still pending.

Still in pending and I filed 1/25 turbo tax agent said wait a least a week after 2/12 it take some time a week to update

I know at least 6 other who used turbo tax and their returns were accepted with in 20 minutes. Mine was submitted on Feb. 3rd and still pending...If there's a problem why don't they just tell us they are working on it.

I like the idea of letting us cancel and resubmit. The more stories I hear of new submissions getting acceptance notices within hours or minutes, the more giving up and starting over makes sense.

I am on hold with Turbo Tax right now and the representative is telling me that the IRS is only taking returns for people who did not receive their stimulus checks and that the IRS is taking one test batch now and to wait 2 weeks. This is when I asked if Turbo Tax had submitted my return to the IRS. Uhm....this is clearly out in left field. I am currently on hold to speak with a supervisor as this response is in no way shape or form correct or acceptable.

I am on hold waiting for a supervisor and I already have a case closed email from Turbo Tax. I also received a response back from my email to Mr. Johnson indicating he was escalating my case to the Office of the President to assess, however he completely butchered the spelling of my first name. Excellent customer service....not so much.
