    How to Cancel / Leave Full Service

    The process depends on whether you have already been matched with a dedicated tax expert: [1]

    • If you have not been matched with an expert yet:
      1. Select Do my own taxes from the menu.
      2. Select Leave Full Service.
      3. Go to Tax Tools and choose Clear & Start Over if you need to reset your file data.
      4. Follow the prompts to land in the TurboTax product that matches your tax situation. 
    • If you have already been matched with an expert:
      • Send a message directly to your assigned tax expert letting them know you want to leave Full Service and stop working with them.
      • Alternatively, attend your initial meeting and inform the expert or contact TurboTax customer support directly for assistance
