My amended return has been adjusted, when will i receive the check?

Just curious if you have any updated info on your refund. Mine was sent in this January , then amended May1st , Adjusted by IRS June 21st and nothing since then. I have a tax advocate that hasn't returned my calls in 3wks and it would be great to know whats going on or maybe what your experience has been

My amended return was recieved June13th it was processed June 27th and it was complete July 1st. When should i get my refund???? Anyone?

@Nisha1031 Did you print, sign and mail a Form 1040X?

A 1040X cannot be e-filed. It must be printed and mailed. It will take about 3-4 months for the IRS to process an amended return. It is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it, like UPS or certified mail, so you will know it was received.

Wait about 3 weeks from mailing and you can check the status of your amended return:

If you are getting a refund from an amended return, the IRS mails a check to you--they do not make a direct deposit for an amended return refund.

Yes I printed signed dated a form 1040 x along with injured spouse allocation and amended form on feb 28 then it got received March 14

If you are asking about a refund for an amended return, the refund will be a check mailed to the address on your tax return. It will not be a direct deposit.

Mine was received on April 22 2019, adjusted on July 26 2019, and I got a check yesterday July 29th 2019. This is consistent with other experiences. The wheres-my-amended webpage still shows Adjusted status.

It has been 24 weeks and have heard. Othing about my amended return. What is happening?

@ddiehl011 No one at TurboTax knows about your amended return. Did you print sign and mail it? The ONLY way to file an amended return is by mail. It does take at least 16 weeks or more for the IRS to process an amended return.

@Emmyloumarr25 NO ONE can tell you the exact day your refund check will be in your mailbox. Only the IRS controls when it will be mailed. Then it is up to the United States postal service to get it to you. It is sent first class mail but it does not have tracking. All you can do is watch your mail.
