Good evening,

Am I the only one that is still having issues with getting a refund?  I filed my taxes Jan.20th and Federal accepted my tax return on Feb.12th and Ga was accepted on Feb.18.... However, when I go look at Irs.gov- its states still processing and will give return date when its available.

Same issue here. Accepted Feb 12th. Called IRS basically told can take up to 10 weeks since Turbo Tax has an error in there system thay was filling out line 30 about stimulus. Nice lady told me seen millions of cases same issues. That if you put got full stimulus  the software still showed we did not get them. This in turn send the refund to the error  department. She said  if more is needed they mail a letter within 90 days but right now should fix itself allow 10 weeks.

I’m having the exact same issue. I filed my federal return back in late January and Turbo Tax indicates it was accepted when the filing date opened on Feb 12. However, when I go to track my refund, I get “the data you entered” doesn’t match our system.” Ive been using TurboTax for over 15 years and the IRS tracking app for the last few, and have never had any issues. I’m wondering if I should refill with a different service. Curious if there’s any known remedy for this — very concerning.

Try calling the WMR automated hotline 1-800-829-1954 instead.

It can take up to 21 calendar days (sometimes a little longer) after your return is accepted before you receive your refund from the IRS. The IRS is the only entity that has insight into why your return may be delaying. Please click here for IRS contact information.

We are having the same issue.  According to Turbo Tax our refund was accepted and we were suppose to get it the 7th.  IRS website still shows it is pending and no refund date yet.  Thankfully state was accepted and our check sent.  Can't reach anyone to figure out what is going on.  I'm sorry you are experiencing this frustration, but glad we aren't the only ones.

I looked on other boards and anyone who used TT to file earlier the 2/12/21 is same boat. TT wont admit a glitch but same issue  with State returns. I needed my money. I know other whonuser HR amd TaxAct filed same time as me before 2/12/21 and already have taxes no issues. IRS told me today  6 more weeks and asked if I used TT same issue. I be surprised  if someone does not start a class action lawsuit

I am having the same issue. Mine was accepted 2/11 ans it says if it’s more than 21 days to call the IRS. So I try doing that for a week now and still can’t get though.

If you call the 800 number I press 1 2 3 1 2 on the prompt and never enter SSN and can get though. I call about 1 pm est most of the time.

There are a lot of delays for federal refunds this year. The IRS is working overtime to get stimulus payments sent out to you and process your tax returns. Per the IRS website IRS Operations During COVID-19: Mission-critical functions continue: Please visit here and see all services that have slowed down or been delayed due to Covid-19.

Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS.

That is only part of the truth. TT screwed  millions  over by having a software glitch. Line 30 of mine  is blank like should be but TT SCREWED UP AGAIN. I see what comes from BBB

@Caryson27

Accepted does not mean your income tax return has been processed/finalized by the IRS.

The IRS updates its Get My Payment to show taxpayers where and how third stimulus funds will be delivered once they have issued a payment. If you are seeing "Payment status not available",  it means that either the IRS has not yet issued your payment OR you are not eligible for a stimulus payment. Although you may want to check the tool regularly, the payment status is only updated once per day.

To be eligible for the third stimulus, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Families earning less than $150,000 a year and individuals earning less than $75,000 a year should get the full $1,400 per person.
  • Families earning up to $160,000 per year and individuals earning up to $80,000 per year will receive prorated amounts.
  • One notable difference from the first two stimulus is that you will receive stimulus payments for all your dependents, including adult dependents and college students.

To find out if you are eligible and how much you can expect, visit our stimulus calculator.
