E-file Rejected twice..

My e-file was rejected twice for Code: IND-031-04, which stated my last year's AGI was wrong. I double checked, Not Wrong.

Question is, I have already given permission to withdraw the funds I owe out of my account via e-file.

I now just want to submit my return via regular mail. Do I send a "Hard Check"? or will the IRS go ahead and withdraw the funds from my account?

If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2021 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2021 AGI might not be in the IRS system.   Try using zero instead.

If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year.  The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.

When the returns rejected no information is sent to the IRS so they don't know to take out the balance due.

If you choose the paper file then choose that option in the file tab then the correct forms and instructions on how to mail in the return will be presented including a 1040-v for the payment.

Before you paper file try using a single zero for the AGI cuz a lot of the 21 returns took too long to process and the proper AGI is not on file.
