I applied for a payment plan via TurboTax (download, not online) with the IRS, but I'm confused if I still need to go to the IRS Web site and apply?

Nowhere in my e-file status is this mentioned.  I have not received a confirmation e-mail, or any other indication that I actually applied via TurboTax.  An acknowledgement would be helpful.  I also would like to check status, but don't know if TurboTax created a sign-in for me on the IRS Web site.

It can take time for the IRS to confirm the acceptance of the payment plan: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/6782732

There is a phone number provided, but it will have long hold times around the tax filing deadline.
