If I'm on the $0 monthly forbearance program will they take my tax refund?

    There would need to be an offset placed on your account for them to take your tax refund for a student loan debt.  You can inquire as to whether there has been an offset placed on your account by calling the Department of Treasury Offset Program at 1-800-304-3107.  That being said, its unlikely there is an offset unless you were in default of the loans - forbearance in itself would not lead to an offset.
