If you have had security issues with your tax return and been assigned a IP PIN Here are a real answer to the "Where do I enter the IP PIN?"  and "Do IP PINS change every year?" I am using Turbo Tax Deluxe. Where do I enter the IP PIN?  For 2018 the IP PIN is on under the tab FEDERAL TAXES, and the sub-tab, OTHER TAX SITUATIONS. Scroll down to OTHER RETURN INFO and click on UPDATE. Do IP PINS change every year?  Yes!  The IRS will send you a letter December/January with your IP PIN.  If you do not add this PIN to your tax return, it will not be accepted! I agree with all the comments above - this enrty should be prominent on the filing page with the other security information - you should not have to search for it! After searching under the Community Help - which is no help - and more than an hour with TurboTax Support I found the info in an Internet search - NO one at TurboTax knew the answer and that is unacceptable.  If you file without the PIN your refund could be held up for months!

The answer references both.  If you have Home and Business you click on Personal.  All others you click on Federal Taxes

Why isn't this a question prior to finishing on-line taxes? I just filed my taxes without the IP PIN from the IRS. This is your fault for not having it as part of the questions asked at closing/filing.
