I started school in August 2012, I claimed American Opportunity Credit for 2 times. I finished my Bachelor's Degree in August 2016, same year I started my Master Degree . On 2015 1098-T tuition for the 2016 spring semester was included. On 2016 1098-T Summer Semester tuition (around $1,800) is lumped together with graduate degree tuition paid ($12,000). On my form 1098-T I have box 9 checked that says that I am a graduate student. Am I eligible for AOC since I didn't finish 4 years of postsecondary studies before 2016? How should I approach that?

Yes, the American Opportunity Tax Credit is available for the first four years of post-secondary education regardless of whether this includes undergraduate or graduate studies.
