Will IRS take payment from our bank account today? Scheduled to take payment April 15, 2019, and provided routing and account information on electronic form.

Just want to confirm that IRS is going to take the money out of our checking account today, April 15, 2019.  Don't want IRS to try and charge us a late fee and penalties.

Yes, the IRS will take your taxes today.

If they don't the error is theirs, not yours, so there will be no penalty. You chose a timely date.

Thank you again.  I checked my account this morning and they took the payment late last night!
