Turbo Tax allowed me to file my taxes claiming both child tax credit as well daycare fsa. How do I fix it now that I have received my refund?

I tried filing an amended tax return via turbotax but couldn't delete child credit(only have one kid). Called cust serv but they couldn't do it either. They advised that since turbotax checked and the irs accepted it I should keep the money. I am pretty sure that is incorrect. Anyone know of another way to amend?

There is nothing wrong with your return.  The child tax credit is for claiming a child as a dependent.   You did not claim the dependent care credit (for placing that dependent in day care so you could work, form 2441 line 11) because you had the FSA instead.

How much FSA did you have, how many children received qualified care, and what were your total expenses?  Is your FSA recorded in box 10 of your W-2?

We have only one child, we paid in $8800 for care but the max in FSA was $5k. Yes, FSA amount was in W2.

Are you sure you also got the credit?  Print your return and look at form 2441, line 11 on page 1.  If there is a credit there, then check line 12 on page 2, it should have the $8800 FSA there.

Line 11 has nothing, line 12 has 5k. On the 1040 line 12a shows 2k.

You are confusing the childcare credit and the child tax credit.  Those are two different child-related credits, and you are getting both credits.
