Where is Schedule A in TurboTax Premier 2018?

Schedule A is there. If you are using the CD/download product, switch to forms mode and use the open form feature at the top of the form list column to open Schedule A. If your itemized deductions are less than the standard deduction, Schedule A will not stay in the form list because it will not be filed with your tax return.

Where is Schedule A in TurboTax Premier 2018?

The answer by Texas Roger is correct. However, like you, I expected it to be in the list of forms, especially since I had filled it out. Apparently TurboTax decided to not show it because for me the standard deduction was better. So I had to go search for it.

And when I went to print forms, I was NOT able to include Schedule A. I had to go back to "Forms in My Return", search for Schedule A, and then print it. Major nuisance.

TurboTax does say "Forms in My Return" at the top. It should also have an option for "All Forms with Data" or something like that.

Where is Schedule A in TurboTax Premier 2018?

My schedule A printed to be filed with my CA tax return even though my itemized deductions were less than the standard deduction, and schedule A wasn't filed with my federal return.  Is that correct?  Should I be filing schedule A with my 1040 copy for the state of CA?

When you print the CA forms for filing, TurboTax will choose the forms than should be included.

Where is Schedule A in TurboTax Premier 2018?

If your itemized deductions are less than the standard deduction, Schedule A will not be populated because it will not be filed with your tax return.

1) IF...a)  If you are using the Online Tax software (Deluxe or higher)...and b) IF..if you have entered enough deductions such that "itemized" Deductions are used instead of the Std Deduction....then c) it will be in your PDF file that you save and print out.    and d) it will not be in your PDF if you have not entered enough itemized deductions such that they exceed the Std Deduction for your status & situation.

2)  IF, instead you are using the Desktop software, then a) the same limitations exist as in 1,b,c,d above....but, e) with the desktop software you can force the display of a Schedule A by switching to "Forms Mode" and using the left side window "Open Form" to search and open the Schedule A....but again, it still will not be part of your actual tax return unless you have entered enough itemized deductions such that they exceed the Std Deduction for your status & situation.
