Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

If I own a home, but didn't make any mortgage payments all year because I am delinquent (not because it is payed off) do I say I owned a home?

I didn't make any payments all year and am headed for foreclosure. I don't necessarily have all of the answers to the questions TurboTax asks when you click "Yes, we owned a home in 2016," or the questions don't apply to my situation.  So, do I say yes, I owned a home?  Or no, I didn't?

If you have no mortgage interest to enter, and you did not pay any property taxes (did you??) you have nothing to enter for owning a home.  Saying yes to owning a home but not entering anything will just trigger questions and errors on your tax return.
