I became a stay at home parent at the beginning of last year but received one final w-2 from my job, should I still file a joint return?

Can our child and myself now be claimed as dependents on my husbands taxes even though I have a final w2 from my previous job?

You do not “claim” a spouse as a dependent.  By filing as “Married Filing Jointly” you will each get the $4050 personal exemptions and the standard deduction of $12,600 for a married couple.

You can file a joint return even if one of the spouses had little or no income.  You do  need to include that W-2 on your joint return.
