Legally as per SSN, my first name is Arturas but I normally go by Artur. My W-2 has my first name as Artur, will this be a problem or can I file anyway?

My first name on my SSN is Arturas but I normally go by Artur and my W-2 I received has it as Artur. Will this be an issue when I file or can I just file like normal? My last name is identical on my W-2 and my SSN. Thank you in advance!

The name on your tax return and the name on your W-2 does not have to match.  The social security numbers must match.

The IRS will compare your name with what the SSA has on record.

Right, but would they push back on my tax return if the first name in the SSA records is Arturas and it's Artur on the W-2 but last name is the same?

The name on your return should match the name in the SSA records which should mean that the SSN numbers match also.
