Did you choose the option to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal
refund? If so, that is likely the intermediary company that handles our refund processing service. Does it also say SBTPG? The company is Santa Barbara Tax Products Group. This
company receives your refund from the IRS, deducts the TurboTax fees, then
sends the remainder to your bank account.

Please note that our Federal Free Edition is for very simple tax situations. If your taxes are a bit more complicated, you will be prompted to upgrade. In order to downgrade to a different version of TurboTax, you will have to Clear & Start Over. This is because once upgraded, you gain access to more forms that would not be available in other versions. Here are the steps to Clear & Start Over.

If you elected to have the TurboTax fees deducted from your refund by using our Refund Processing Service, the fees are deducted when your refund has been approved and sent out by the IRS. This process is automated and instantaneous once the funds have been released.

To deactivate an account you need to contact customer service. If you choose this, all access to the specific login will be
terminated. This will terminate access to any service under that login
(TurboTax, Quicken, Mint, etc.).
