My husband had one sale as a real estate agent. How do we report that income?

He did not get a 1099, just a letter from his boss with the total amount paid.

Your husband is self-employed. He has to report all income received (even if he did not receive a form 1099-MISC). He can claim all allowable business expenses such as car mileage, licensing expenses, office supplies, etc... against his income.

In order to claim business expenses, you'll have to upgrade to TurboTax Self-Employed.
