You would file as single (or head of household if you have a qualifying dependent) for tax year 2016.

Thank you, zbucklyo, one more question when filling out personal information do i put my married last name or my info as it was in 2016.

You should put in whatever name the social security administration has on file for you.  If you just got married, it is likely that if you did contact them to change your name, the records might not be yet updated.  If you file with one name, and the filing is rejected because of a wrong name, try changing to your other name.
