I bought a CD. Can I still download 2017 tax returns and use the CD too or should I have used the online version to access last years?

I want to download 2017 returns, but I bought a CD. Otherwise, do I still have to manually enter last years or is there a better way to make it easier?

You can download Prior year Return by following 

https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/5574744

Once tax return is downloaded , you can use it for transferring your prior year data using Turbotax desktop
