Is there any way to not file an extension if you have already checked the file box. It wont let me go back.

Yes, you can still go back to file extension. Click "Tax Home" on the NavBar on the left, click on "File an Extension"; or in your Tax Home, "Take me to my return", there is a link for "File an Extension", then you can restart Easy Extension for free.
