Yes, the unused credit will carry forward to future years if you tax liability limits the amount this year. However, it is not yet clear whether you can carry unused credits to years after the solar credit expires.

Where do I find the domestic content 10% tax credit adder for solar? Supposed to get 30% back + an extra 10% for US made materials (40% total)
