do i need to file for a federal tax extension if I'm a dept of defense worker based in Pearh Harbor Naval Shipyard and currently working in Guam for an extended period of time?

You can file an Extension Request if you don't believe you can complete your return by the filing deadline. However, you can file from a foreign location if you have internet access.
