Just leave it blank and continue. In the time you waste trying to import, you could manually enter the W-2 ten times or more.

If you are entering your W-2 manually, just don't enter the control number. It's not required. If you are trying to import your W-2, enter it manually instead. That will take a lot less time and effort than trying to figure out why the import isn't working.
