Yes----but not much transfers from a pdf--just some personal information like your name and SSN, etc. You can transfer a lot more if you have the tax file.
The transfer must be done at the very beginning, before you begin to enter any 2022 information yourself.
How to transfer last year’s return? https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900883
Thank you for the reply. I have the file from the H&R block return saved to my computer, is this what you refer to when you say "tax file"?
We do not know what you have from them. There are two kinds of files.....the tax file that has everything, and a pdf which will only have some of your personal information. Use what you have and see what transfers in.
I'm trying to decide if I want to use Turbo Tax or stick with H&R. Before I make the switch, I would need to know if I can transfer the data or not. How can I determine if the tax file has "everything" or if it's just a pdf? Thank you again.
Does the file name say tax.2021 ? Or does it say pdf.2021 ?
The file ends in ".t21" It does not sat ".pdf". When I click on it to open, it opens the H&R Block app to view the return from 2021.
I guess hope that the "t" means "tax."
