Windows 11. Installed, as best practice, TurboTax Premier 2023 Desktop as user. TurboTax presented window to activate software and login in to Intuit account. Entered account details, then entered license, all is well. A day later, attempted to upgrade TT. It failed and threw error message that admin account required. Executed TT as admin, TT presents screen to activate my software, again. Please advise how to update my tax software as this prevents me from filing.

I am not asking to run flawlessly.

Does TurboTax technical support want me to uninstall and reinstall as an administrator?

Does TurboTax technical support want me to simple re-register product when running as administrator even though it is a single computer?

Has TurboTax team QCd and adequately tested TurboTax installed as a non-admin user?

What are the required steps to have TurboTax Premier update as a regular user or is this not possible without throwing an error and displaying a window that can not be dismissed requiring opening windows task manager to stop TurboTax updater?
