Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

Will I still get discount? Says I can’t file because form 4684 isn’t ready. I keep getting reminders to finish filing by today to get the discount. Should I just wait?

The form is available on the IRS website, so I am hoping no it’s not an error with TurboTax. I want to make sure I file in time to get the discount.

Form 4684 is scheduled to be available at the end of this week per the tax form availability tool.

If the discount you are referring to is from an affiliate partner, please see this link for details.

If you are referring to a TurboTax Intuit discount for Online TurboTax, if you wish to do so, you can go ahead and pay for your product in advance to lock in any discount that is scheduled to expire this week.   Here's how:

  • Open your return, if not already open.
  • Click in the left menu column on TAX TOOLS.
  • Then choose PRINT CENTER.
  • Then choose "Print/save/preview this year's return." (you don't really have to print)
  • Continue answering screens.  Choose to PAY NOW.  It may try to upsell you some add-on features like MAX, which you can either elect or refuse.  Eventually it will prompt for credit/debit card.   You will need to pay upfront.   Do not choose to pay later out of a Federal refund, which can't be used for pay in advance view/print privilege.

ADDENDUM:  If you also have a state return, then to get the state return discount (if any) you'd also need to pay for the state return in advance, too.

Paying in advance also lets you view the forms in your return at any time.
