Will I get a bigger return if I file as married?

I got married September 2016, am I able to file jointly and if so will I receive more money back if my husband makes a lot more money and has gotten little in returns in the past?

If you were married as of December 31st, you must file as married filing jointly (MFJ) or married filing separately (MFS).

Married filing jointly almost always results in the lowest tax. The only way to know for sure is try out MFJ and MFS in TurboTax.
