Why won't the software take my deceased husband off of the return? I can't seem to delete him, yet this is the 2nd year of taxes since his death?

The software refuses to take a death date before 1/1/2024, but he died in 23

Why won't the software take my deceased husband off of the return? I can't seem to delete him, yet this is the 2nd year of taxes since his death?

If he was listed as the primary tax payer on the return you should now delete him out and replace the information with yours.

There will be no need to enter the date of his passing.
